Dora Mendonca, 92, of Modesto passed away peacefully on February 23, 2012. Born in Tranquility, California she lived in Modesto for 72 years.

Dora was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to paint, play cards and garden. She was a also member of the P. F. S. A.

Dora is survived by her sons Norm Mendonca of Florence, OR and Bob Mendonca of Arroyo Grande, CA; her twin sister Doris Lima of Fresno and grandchildren Brad Johnson of Salida, Jeana Claypool of Florence, OR, Eric Mendonca of Florence, OR, Alix Mendonca of Seattle, WA, Christopher Mendonca of San Jose, Kimberly Mendonca of Arroyo Grande and Michelle Canoles of Oklahoma City, OK and one great grandchild.

Dora was preceded in death by her husband George Mendonca.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Franklin and Downs Funeral Homes. There will be a service on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 9:30 am at Bethel Retirement Center, 2345 Scenic Drive in Modesto. Her final resting place will be St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. www.cvobituaries.com
