A funeral service will be held Friday for Nancy M. Helmuth of 669 Gaylord Ave., Masury. She died at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday (12-3-02) in her residence. She was 59.
Mrs. Helmuth was born March 11, 1943, in Sharon, a daughter of George Samuel and Philomena Pavone McWhorter.
She was a gr aduate of Pennsylvania State University with an associate's degree in human
growth and development. Mrs. Helmuth was employed
by Joe Adamchick, constructing false dental appliances. Her memberships included involvement in Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon. She
also worked hard toward becoming the first woman volunteer fireman for Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her dog.
Her husband, Albert David Helmuth, whom she married Aug. 7, 1976, died in 1998.
Survivors include: two sons, David Helmuth, Farmdale, Ohio; and Robert Helmuth, Columbus, Ohio; five daughters, Karen Barber, Farrell; and
Tammy Helmuth, Heidi Bulick, Heather Helmuth and Amy Helmuth, all Masury; one sister, Rosemary Kern, Sandusky, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brandon
Joel Kistler; and Christine, Catherine and Cynthia Helmuth; two great-grandchildren;
one niece, Barbie Hoffman; two nephews, Michael Evakich and E.J. Cocott; four great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Mrs. Helmuth was preceded in death by her parents.
