J. F. Alexander, 74, died at 7:30 p. m. yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles t. Stroup, of 555 Louise avenue, after a protracted illness.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at his daughter's home at 4 p.m., Dr. Luther Little, pastor of the First Baptist church, presiding.
Pall-bearers will be chosen from members of the Business Men's Bible class of the First Baptist church.
Surviving is his widow and the following children: Mrs. Charles T. Stroup and S. R. Alexander, of Charlotte; C. H. Alexander, of Clearwater, Fla., and J. C. Alexander, of Asheville.
