Eduardo Falú
Birth: Jul. 7, 1923
Salta
Salta, Argentina
Death: Aug. 9, 2013
Buenos Aires, Argentina

Composer, guitarist and singer. He was author of more than 260 fundamental works of Argentine folk repertoire such as "La tonada del viejo amor" and "Zamba de la Candelaria". His low and expressive voice, his singular style with his guitar and his talent as a composer made him a key man in Argentine national folk music. He worked with Jaime Dávalos, Manuel Castilla, Ernesto Sábato and Jorge Luis Borges, among other. German filmmakers Oliver Primus and Arno Oehri produced a documentary about his life and works: "Eduardo Falú: Song for a Landscape of Dreams", in 2007. He served as vice president of the Sociedad Argentina de Autores y Compositores de Música (SADAIC) until his death.
