MORRISVILE >> Dorothy A. Campbell, 79, of Swamp Road, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
She was born Dec. 19, 1935 in Jersey City, N.J., a daughter of John and Helen Burns Caton and received her education in local schools.
On Feb. 2, 1955, Dorothy married Robert V. Campbell who predeceased her on June 24, 1995. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose family was her greatest joy.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Ty Campbell of Fenner; Timothy and Teri Campbell of Peterboro; Kathleen and Philip Maitland of Morrisville; a brother, Richard Caton of Jersey City, N.J.; a sister in law, Maryanne Caton of Jersey City, NJ, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother John Caton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.
Interment will be in the Peterboro Cemetery in the spring.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
