1900: Benjamin Gerrard age 24 lived on Second Ave. in Evanston, Wyoming with his mother Elizabeth who was listed as a widow and working as a washwoman, and his 15 year old brother James Gerrard. Ben was working farm labor.
1910: Benjamin was married to Bertha and living at 64 1st Ave. in Evanston. They had been married 7 years by then and Bertha had birth 6 children: Florence 'Nellie' 11, Ivy 7, Myrtle 6, Walter 4, Thomas 2, William 1. Ben was then working for the railroad as a car inspector.
1920: Now Benjamin, wife Bertha, children Florence, Ivy, Myrtle, Walter, Thomas, William, Ernest, Lawrence, Raymond, and Thelma are living on 2nd Ave next door to his brother James and his family. Ben is now a carpenter.
1930: Benjamin still living on 2nd Ave and working as a carpenter. Living with wife Bertha, children William (now 21 and a blacksmith), Lawrence, Raymond, and Thelma.
1940: At age 67 Benjamin was living with his wife Bertha on Second Ave. and he was working as a carpenter on the W.P.A Cemetery Project in Evanston.
Benjamin arrived in USA in 1888/89 aged 13/14 yrs old. He met Bertha who was also from England and they were married abt 1902. They lived and raised 10 children in what appeared to be (per census address') the same home in Evanston, Wyoming.
