Nancy Louise Burns was the daughter of Uriah Burns and Sarah Burchfield.

She married Henry Taylor Jenkins on 13 Dec 1881 in Swain Co, NC. Their marriage was performed by: M.T. Battle, Justice of the Peace at L.W. Elliott's on Jenkins Branch. Witnesses were: Charles Dock Jenkins, William Alexander Birchfield and LaFayette Shook.

Nancy and Henry had 9-children:
1) Epp E Jenkins (1880-1963)
2) Joshua Paige Jenkins (1884-1912)
3) Sallie Sue Jenkins (1885-1966)
4) Laura Jenkins (1889-1954)
5) Keelie Ann Jenkins (1890-1943)

8) Lillie Stella Jenkins (1895-1994)
9) Everett Calloway Jenkins (1898-1984)

Nancy died as a result of cerebral arteriosclerosis and senility. She was widowed at death and lived in the Jenkins Branch Community.
