On Friday, Oct 7,2011, Alex Zelinko Died peacefully in his sleep in Fairfield, Calif.. He was a native of the East Coast. As a member of the U.S. Air Force for 8 years, he was transferred to Travis AFB in 1962.
In 1966, Al established the Zelinko Printing Company, a family owned and operated business which outlives him.He involved himself in the community and was past president of the Chamber of Commerce, Exchange Club and Toast Masters. Al was known for his great sense of humor.
Al recieved a new heart (transplant) in 1993. He was always thankful to his donor for the last 18 years of his life.
His beloved wife, Mary Ann, of 45 years proceeded him in death. Survivors include his daughter, Misti, of Fairfield and numerous relatives who all reside on the East Coast.
At his request, no formal services are planned. His creamated remains will be entombed next to his wife, Mary Ann in the "Spruce Columbarium" at the Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield, Calif.
