Mrs. M. A. Floyd, an old resident of Sumner, who was the sister of Eldridge Carter and the mother of John and Will Floyd, well known citizens of that community, died at 9 o'clock Tuesday night at the home of one of the sons, John Floyd, with whom she was living.
The deceased was the widow of W. A. Floyd, an old settler, and was seventy years old. Besides the two sons mentioned above she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Will White and Mrs. Will Gentry of Sumner and Mrs. George Latimer of Red River county. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon and the burial will be at the old Sumner graveyard.
