Ronald F. Bunce, 52, of Kansas City, KS, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at home. Ronnie was born September 20, 1952, in Kansas City, KS, and was a lifetime resident. He was a firefighter for the KCK Fire Dept. for 28 years with plans for retirement this month. Ronnie was awarded Firefighter of the Year Award in 1991, for effecting the rescue, under extreme conditions, of an elderly resident. Ronnie spent many years stationed at "Club Klamm", Station #14. While there, many a rookie was made a firefighter under Ron's watch. He loved the job, he loved the people, he will miss you all. He attended Westside Family Church. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Naomi. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Janet K. Bunce, five children, a sister and her husband and their children.
