Born November 11, 1916, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late William and Lenoria Pauline Greemon Erwin.
Mrs. Flanagan was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Carwood Manufacturing.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Flanagan was also preceded in death by her husband, John Vance Flanagan, Sr.; daughters, JoAnn and Audrey Flanagan; sons, Leroy, John Vance, Jr., Woodrow and Carl Flanagan. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services are 4:00 pm Sunday, March 24, 2013, at The Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. George Dean and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm Saturday.
