Sarah Velma Williams, age 102, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at the Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, Alabama.
Born on Aug. 22, 1905, in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late Truelove and Etta Gilliland Shotts. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living member of the Shottsville United Methodist Church. She had been a member since 1920.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sanders B. Williams, and sons, Ed and Gail "Boney" Williams.
Survivors include her daughters - Ave Nell (Thurston) Nix, Betty (Bill) Weaver and Annie Faye (Everette) Sullins, all of Hamilton; son - Bryon (Judy) Williams, Guin; daughter-in-law - Ruby Williams, Hamilton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
