Actor. Born in London, England, for six decades he was a noted as a prolific character performer. Trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he began his career on the stage and appeared in his first film "Well Done, Henry" (1936). A veteran of more then forty movies, his credits included "The Desert Rats" (1953), "Pharaoh's Cruse" (1957), "Judgment at Nuremburg" (1961), "My Fair Lady" (1964), "The Sound of Music" (1965), "Topaz" (1969) and "Raid on Rommel". For television, he was a regular on "The Twilight Zone", "The Wild Wild West", "Mission: Impossible", Hogan's Heroes", "Ironside", "Barnaby Jones" and many more. He died in Burbank, California, at age 74. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
