John "Jack" A. Pasker, 85, of Ryan, died Thursday evening, Jan. 29, 2004, in the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ryan, by the Rev. Dennis Miller. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Monticello, with a Scripture service at 6:30 p.m., and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Luella of Monticello; his children, Claudene Staner of Omaha, Ark., Verna Mae Galvin of Iowa City, Marie Takes of Monticello, Dorothy Peterson of Madison, Ala., John Pasker of Cedar Rapids and Jim Pasker of Boise, Idaho; three brothers, William and Alphonse, both of Manchester, and Leo of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Ida Funke and Irene Salow, both of Manchester.
