Co. G 5 Ga. Inf. C.S.A.
Courtesy of Georgia's Virtual Vault on-line, there are 27 pages copied from his Confederate pension papers for Schley County, GA. He swears he came to Schley County 7th May 1833. He says he fought in the Jackson's Brigade of the GA volunteers and was wounded when a cannonball went through his left thigh between the hip and knee. The leg withered and was useless. He received a confederate pension of $50 a year from 1889-1907. So he must have died in 1907. Still looking for a date.
