Maria Angiollio Lepore, 98, of the 500 block of Sussex Drive died Nov. 24, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Lepore was born in Genzano, Italy on Sept. 26, 1898. She was the widow of Rocco Lepore and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Anne L. Liles, Marie Lepore and Teresa Butler, all of Portsmouth; a son, Michael A. Lepore Sr. of Chesapeake; four brothers, Michele Angiollio, Pasquale Angiollio, Nicola Angiollio and Giuseppe Angiollio, all of Italy; eight grandchildren, Dr. Michael Butler of Oslo, Norway, John Butler of The Woodlands, Texas, Paul Butler of Southington, Conn., Anne Marie Colby of Portsmouth, Stephen Liles of Chesapeake, Dr. Michael Lepore Jr. of Suffolk, Lisa Lepore of Chesapeake and Linda Donavan of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Catholic Church by Rev. Joseph Slowik. Burial will be in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hampton Roads Chapter, 405 S. Parliment Dr., Suite 105, Va. Beach, Va., 23462.
