Officer Fowler, of the Eighth precinct, on Thursday night arrested John Jackson, a thief, at the corner of L and Fourth streets southeast. At the time he was fleeing for pistol shots that were sent after him by some one whose house he had attempted to rob. A set of burglars' tools were found on him. In Police Court yesterday Judge Bundy gave him three months in the workhouse.
