Charles R. Millis, 90, of Paris Twp., passed away January 22, 2012 at Maplewood Care Center in Streetsboro where he resided the last 2 years. He was born September 30, 1921 to William H. and Gertrude McClain Millis. Charles married Wilma Dutcher in 1951. He was a well-known mechanic in Newton Falls having worked at Mozingo Auto Sales, Tony Mott Ford Garage and George Bumbus Auto Sales. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid fisherman, and a Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. Charles was a lifelong member of the AMVETS, VFW, and Moose Club. Cherished memories of Charles will be carried on by his daughters, Jackie (Don Miller) Greenwalt, and Michelle Millis both of Newton Falls, and Melissa Millis of Charlestown Twp. He had 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Wilma Millis; daughter, Janet Burns; grandson, Gary Macklin; and brother, Harry Millis. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 24 from 6 PM-8 PM at the Borowski Memorial Home. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 11 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor Gordon Ferguson officiating. Charles will be laid to rest in Hawley Cemetery.
