Twenty-five firemen attended the funeral of Engineer Asa H. Cooper, who was killed Friday in a collision of fire apparatus at Tenth and Bishop streets. The service was held at the residence 125 East Eighth street, at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The bells at all the fire stations in the city tolled while the procession was on the way from the residence to Oak Cliff Cemetery. The firemen at Tenth and Crawford streets stood in line in front of the building with bared heads as the procession passed.
The pallbearers were Chief H. F. Magee; J. L. Mander, second assistant chief Fair Park Station; R. D. Barnes captain of Engine Company No. 15; Edward McGine; private in No. 7 Engine Company; N. W. Daniel of No. 11 Engine Company; and O. A. Baker of the Central Station.
