Baron “Barry” Brenner, 72, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at the Kino Chapel, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., at noon on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014. Interment will follow at the Post Cemetery, with military honors being conducted by the US Army Honor Guard at 1 p.m.

Baron was born on Friday, Jan. 16, 1942, to the late Charles W. Brenner and the late Marion Cieslak. He was raised by the late Charles W. Brenner and Constance Brenner of Saginaw, Mich.

He proudly served with the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army after more than 23 years of service, Barry continued to work as a contractor for the military.

He was an active member of the Lions Club, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and VFW. He also enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and gambling.

He is survived by his children, Kay (Darrel) Calton of Versailles, Mo., and their children Derek, Andrew, and Kaylin, Linda Brenner of Dallas, Texas, and Karl Brenner of Sierra Vista; siblings, Salomey R. Darabos of Michigan, Charles G. Brenner of Arizona, Catherine M. Bomba of Michigan, William F. Brenner of Michigan, and Mary Pino of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. Brenner, Marion Cieslak, and stepmother Constance Brenner; and his siblings, Charles W. Brenner II, Vernon C. Brenner, John Brenner, and Sister Ellen Irene Kruse.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hatfield Funeral Home.
