Western Outlaw. He was a member of the Doolin-Dalton gang who was killed on Oak Creek near Canute. Accounts differ as to whether the posse was led by famed Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Madsen. According to contemporary newspaper stories, the posse was composed of county officers and citizens with no mention of Madsen.
