Services for Mrs. Carrie Bell Cripps, 69, were held April 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Leonard Herman, Jesse Garner and Houston Murphy officiated. Burial was in Cripps Cemetery. Mrs. Cripps died April 18 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Reps Allen and Eula Hale Parker. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Troy R. Cripps, Sr. of Dekalb County; three sons, Troy R. Cripps, Jr. of Dekalb County, Frank Cripps and Javin Cripps of Nashville; five daughters, Judy Williams, Nannie Walker, and Marie Ford all of Cannon County, Connie Stillwell of McMinnville and Georgia Bogle of Alexandria; three brothers, Marvin Parker of Smithville, Clyde Parker of Liberty and Robert Parker of Smyrna; two sisters, Willie Pearl Jones of Murfreesboro and Odell Underhill of McMinnville; 31 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Johnny Ford, Randall Cripps, Gayle Cripps, Paul Parker, Ricky Bogle, Tim Bogle, James Hale and Marty Williams. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Smithville Review, Smithville, TN.
