Harris Mitchell "Squirrel" Haselden, 72, the beloved husband of Audry Ann Ward Haselden, went home to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon, June 8, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Haselden was born the son of Harris Fred Haselden and Lelia Browder Haselden on August 31, 1939 in Andrews.

He was a graduate of Williamsburg High School where he had perfect attendance for all 12 years and served as a WHS Bus Driver. He was a retired employee of International Paper. As a native of Andrews, Mitchell visited and supported many of the local churches, but was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a National Guard Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #69; Woodman of the World; Veterans Foreign World; and the National Rifle Association.

Mitchell and Audry celebrated 48 years together. Their home was blessed with: two children, Kristie Annette (Orin) Barnes and Harris Wendell Haselden; and four grandchildren, Kaylie, Jessica, Hannah, and Aden. He also leaves behind: a brother, Roger Grant (Dianne) Haselden; and two sisters, Elaine H. (John) Norton and Patricia H. (Edwin) Rogers.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A Home going Celebration will be 4 PM, Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Andrews Church of God. Interment will follow in the Harmony cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
