He who hath created all thing, has also arranged that His creation shall be taken care of, therefore in His wise providence He has called Josiah Carothers, son of Armstrong and Elizabeth ** Carothers, who was born new Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio, August the seventh, 1844 and departed this life April the 27th 1926, at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 20 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Alice T. Steddom, March the 26th, 1872. His wife died October 27,1910, to them were born five children, three of these preceded their father in death.
He was baptized and united with Campbelite Church in his young days. He lived up to the requirements of said Church and in whose faith he died.
He was highly respectedby all who knew him. A man well thought of, one that was trustworthy, honest and reliable, in all of his dealings. He lived so as to be an inspiration and encouragement to those who knew him best, and had to do with him. His example will be safe to follow. The golden rule was his guideand his law of life."Do unto others as you would that they should to you".
He spent about thirty years of his life in the neighborhood called Concord, about three miles east of Greenville on the West Milton pike, where he was well known.
