Funeral Services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Lena Ann PEARSON, resident of Ochiltree County since 1906, who died Monday afternoon at her home in Perryton.
She was the widow of Dr. William PEARSON, an early day resident and landowner in the Black community, Mrs. PEARSON was the step-mother of Mrs. Walter DANIEL of Perryton.
Lee E. Rawlings of Hamlin, Texas, former pastor of the local Church of Christ, conducted the final rites, assisted by Doyle Banta, present pastor of the Church.
In addition to Mrs. DANIEL, survivors include a foster daughter, Mrs. Audrey POLLOCK of Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Raleigh MARTIN of Lubbock; and two step-sons, John C. DANIEL and Andrew DANIEL, both of Wichita Falls.
Pallbearers were Arthur PEARSON, Arvle HALE, A. W. HENRY, Tom WAUGH, Dan ARCHER and O'Dell RYAN.
Interment was in the Ochiltree Cemetery.
