Richard passed away at home surronded by his loving wife and several family members.
Dick was the son of Sydney Murray and Elda Irene Murray. He attended local schools in the Yuba-Sutter area and graduated the Class of '55 from Yuba City High School, in June of that year. He was an outstanding athlete and held school records in Pole Vaulting and the 100 yard hurdles.
After graduation, he worked in Construction for about a year and 1/2 before enlisting in the U. S. Army, where he spent approximately 10 years. After his military service, he operated the Tierra Buena Cafe for several years. He completed his career as an industrial mechanic for Simplot in Oregon. He retired in 2000.
Dick is survived by his wife, Maxine, four kids; Don, Vickie, Jennifer and Kelly. He had four grandchildren, two great grandkids, and many step-kids, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister, Beverly Kelley, brother George (Shirley) and sister Willa Mae Crow (Paul)
