Rube and Emmie were members of the First United Methodist Church in La Feria, Texas. They lived in La Feria, Texas 44 years.
He was a farmer for most of his life but in later years he
was a school bus driver for La Feria schools and had a paper route for the Valley Morning Star Newspaper in Harlingen, Texas. He was also a past master of the La Feria Masonic Lodge # 1197.
Rube Cox loved people and was a happy man. He loved to tease his children and grandchildren. They all remember him singing to them....Tom, Tom the piper's son...among others. He loved God and his family but most of all his precious Emmie to whom he was married for 59 years.
