Samuel A. Hartman,18, of State College and formerly of McVeytown, Pa and Hanover, died at 1:08 p.m. Saturday May 29, 2004, following an automobile accident in Granville Township.
He was born in Calcutta, India, he was the son of the Rev. Marian E. Hartman of State College.
Also surviving are a grandfather, Elwood Hartman of York, an aunt, Lousie Coldsmith and her husband Donald, of Gettysburg; a great-uncle, Delbert Hartman of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Mary Hartman.
He was a senior at State College area High School and previously attended the Strodes Mills elementary and middle schools, as well as Lewistown Area High School, where he enjoyed playing on the basketball team.
He was a member of the McVeytown United Methodist Church.
Through the Gift of life Program, he was an organ and tissue donor.
Funeral services will be held at McVeytown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Dobbs, the Rev. Dan Smith and the Rev. Bruce Woolever officiating.
