San Pierre Girl Becomes Bride
On Saturday afternoon, October 3, 1936, at 5:30 at the Methodist Parsonage at North Judson, Miss Ruth Batzka, daughter of Robert Batzka became the bride of Bernard Douglas, son of Mrs. Burt Douglas of Hebron. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Nugent.
The bride was attractive in a dress of Autumn rust wool sheer with brown accessories. Miss Lillian Batzka, sister of the bride who attended her, was dressed in brown wool crepe with green accessories. Each wore a corsage of button chrysanthemums.
The groom was attended by his brother, Wendal Douglas of Hebron.
Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the bride's home to members of the immediate families. The table was decorated with mixed autumn flowers furnishing a beautiful background to the setting.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas, after a short honeymoon, will make their home in Hebron. The community of San Pierre and the Hebron community join in offering these popular young people their sincerest good wishes for a very happy future.
