Floyd Henry Goodrich, 26, was killed on Leyte Island, in the Philippines, November 1, 1944. He was in a radio repair section of the Army as a technician fourth grade. He had served nearly four years. He previously had seen action on Attu and Kwajalein. He was stationed a year in the Hawaiian Islands during the three years and ten months he spent in military service.
A native of Fresno, California, Floyd attended the McKinley grammer school and was graduated from Lemoore High School. He worked as a radio repairman in Kettleman City during 10 years he spent there.
He was survived by his widow, Irma M. Goodrich; parents Mr. Vernner Henry and Minnie(Morlan) Goodrich of Kettleman City, and four sisters, Mabel Terry, Gladys Peterson, Elsie Thornton and Bessie Burton.
