QUANAH, Texas -- Graveside services for Edwin R. Dunham will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Quanah Memorial Park in Quanah.
Mr. Dunham was born on Oct. 28, 1925, in Quanah, to Edwin D. and Bertha Kelley Dunham. He died Feb. 13, 2001, in an Oklahoma City hospital.
Raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, he served his country during World War II with the Navy and was awarded the Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and Navy Unit Commendation. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in agriculture from New Mexico A&M College, and attended the University of Texas for his postgraduate studies. He was a retired senior medical representative for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. He worked 2ð years in Mexico for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The family moved to Ardmore in 1981. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was fluent in the Spanish language, enjoyed history and genealogy and had a great love of the outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather of four children and 10 grandchildren. He was faithful to numerous lifelong friends.
