Mrs. Laura Chandler, 82, a lifelong resident of this county, died Sunday, at the home of her son, Arthur Chandler, Chandlerville, following an illness of two years.

Born April 1 1874, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Scarberry Lemaster. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Baptist Church. She was married to Columbus Chandler who preceded her in death 32 years ago.

Surviving besides her son are three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Davis, Irwin, Ohio; Mrs. Jessie Lemaster, Marysville, Ohio; and Mrs. Tisha Gibbs, East Liberty, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Martha Jane Nichols, Ashland; and two brothers, Sherman Lemaster, Henrietta; and John Lemaster, White House.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the home with Alfred Chandler officiating. Burial was made in the family cemetery at Chandlerville under the direction of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home.
