Edward E. Ed Miller 73 of Cynthiana, senator from the state's 30th Senate District including Woodford County, from 1999 to 2002,husband of Birdie Miller, died Monday May 2, 2005 in Lexington Ky.
Born August 22, 1931 in Bracken County Kentucky, he was the son of the late Raymond and Esther Wolfe Miller.
He was in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Kentucky State Trooper.
He ran for Congress in the 6th District in 1980 and 1982. He was appointed deputy secretary of the state Justice cabinet commissioner of criminal justice training , and deputy commissioner of the state department of employment. He was an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Eastern Kentucky University and Maysville Community College.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bracken County.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Douglas Miller and Nathan Miller both of Cynthiana ; a brother Raymond Lee Miller, San Diego CA. and two granddaughters.
Service conducted at the ware Funeral Home in Cynthiana by Pastor John Maynard and the Rev. Wayne Spivey. Burial in the Battle Grove Cemetery
