Jack grew up in Wylam/Ensley,which is in the Western side of Birmingham...Worked at Hayes Aircraft, Pullman Standard and Don Drennen Motor Company.
He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War,participated in two combat landings while station aboard the USS Merick AKA97...Homeported in San Diego,California...Trained US Army and Marine troops in amphibious landings in the Philippnes and at Iwo Jima Island...Supplied Military stations in the Artic ....Durning the Korean war his ship carried more than 6,400 prisoners of war to interment camps...
He was a Mason and a Shriner also an avid Nascar and University of Alabama football fan....
He was preceded in death by his mother Lucile W Miller, brother John Kenneth Miller, granddaughter Mazie Elise Knowles.
Married to Clara S Miller for 45 years...daughters... Marilyn (Kenneth)Knowles...Suzanne Miller ...Jackie Miller.
Four grandchildern and brother James(Ton)Miller...
Jack loved to fish,freshwater or saltwater, loved going to Panama City,Florida...Loved the Beach ...
