From Kitty Harbor Inc. in Connecticut:
When Dinah came to Kitty Harbor in the winter of 2007, her elderly owner had passed away and she'd already spent several months at a vet's office looking to be adopted. At 14 years of age her chances weren't good.
We placed her in our Senior Room and she was no trouble -- just a sweet old cat who slept a lot and wanted the occasional pets. But when she started losing weight at a rapid rate, despite eating and drinking, blood tests were done and came back normal -- but an xray showed an unknown mass in her abdomen.
The last week of March 2008 she began to go downhill and the vet felt euthanasia was the kindest thing to do for her. Whatever she had wasn't going to get better.
Gini was with her when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We think that at the end of her life, Dinah knew that she was in a place where she was loved.
