Daniel Askins, of Hanford, entered into eternal rest in Hanford.

Daniel was born in Tulare, California to Viola Vern Askins.

On June 26 1976 he married Peggy Ann Inman in Visalia, California. They moved to Hanford in 1979.

Daniel served as a sergeant in the Army from 1978 to 1982.

He also worked as a mill foreman, did building repair and maintenance and worked as a caretaker.

His hobbies included working on cars, camping, repairing things, and most of all, fishing. Daniel found his true calling when he became a Grandpa.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Viola and his wife, Peggy.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Patricia; his son, Chris and wife, Christina, his son, Kevin and wife, Katie; his brothers, Jerry and Sonny; his sisters, Louella, Debbie, Rosie, Teresa, Sandy, Melinda, Cheryl and Esther; his grandchildren, Marissa, Tyson, Justin, Brendan and Carys; his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his best friend, his dog, Brody.

Graveside Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18 for both Daniel and Peggy Askins at the Grangeville Cemetery in Armona.

Celebration of Life Services will be held following the service at Hidden Valley Park in Hanford.
