George Kenneth Beine enlisted July 9, 1941. He entered the Army as a private. He trained at Camp Roberts and was then sent to the Infantry school at Fort Benning where he was commissioned second lieutenant. Beine met death in Europe while serving with the armored division of the 7th Army. A graduate of Santa Rosa High School, Beine later studied at Stanford University. He was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs, George H. Beine of Ross, Calif., and his widow, Winifred, and a daughter, Susan, of Hanford, Calif.

Officer Is Killed
Mrs. George K. Beine, the former Miss Winifred Spear, received a telegram from the war department saying her husband, 1st Lieutenant George K. Beine of the Intelligence section of the 7th Army tank corps, was killed in action in Europe March 22nd. He had been reported missing in action in January.
Note: Entered the service from California.
