Funeral services for Barbara Ann Timm, 53, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Jimmy Sistrunk officiating. Interment will follow in the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Mrs. Timm entered into rest January 24, 2009 following an automobile accident on I-20.
Barbara enjoyed serving people,she was a Registered Nurse at Minden Medical Center. During her career she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room of Bossier Medical Center, LSU Medical Center Emergency Room, and Schumpert Medical Center Emergency Room.She was a volunteer Para Medic for the East 80 Fire Department, an EMT at Harrah's Louisiana Downs, she was an owner and assistant thoroughbred race horse trainer,
a United States Air Force Veteran,and a resident of Haughton since 1988.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Scully.
Survivors include her husband of twenty years, Robert H. Timm; mother, June Scully of Hot Springs Village, AR; daughter, Elissa Hoffman of Dallas, TX; three step-children, Michael Timm of Shreveport, LA; Kelly Ann Timm of Broken Arrow, OK; Robert Berger of Sayersville, N.J.; brother, Kris Johannsen of Allen,TX; step-brother, Brian Scully of Mt. Prospect, IL; step-sister, Linda Scully of Maui, HI; sister-in-law, Nancy Scully of Vernon Hills, IL; step-grandson, Garrett Timm of Haughton, LA.
Pallbearers will be Robert Roe , Jeff Broome, Doug Connelly, Alan Simpson, Rusty Williford, and Jacob Kuba.
Memorials may be made to Barbara's favorite charities. The East 80 Volunteer Fire Department, or to the Louisiana Organ Procurement
