ETHERIDGE, Jack Lee "Butch" - Passed away peacefully June 1, 2007 in Santa Rosa, CA following a brief illness. Jack was born February 17, 1944 in Lodi, CA to Dorothy Mildred Russell and Jack Edwin Etheridge. He grew up in Sacramento, CA. He married Wyone Grundvig in 1962, who passed away in 1994. He married Wendy Meydenbauer in September 2000, who passed away in October 2006. Jack served overseas in the United States Air Force as a munition technician. After his discharge from the Air Force, he joined Pacific Bell as a communications technician. He moved with his family to Cloverdale, CA, in 1977, where he resided until his death. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, being a member of the Order of the Arrow and receiving the prestigious Silver Beaver award. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, giving many years of service. He especially enjoyed family history, gardening, and bird watching the last few years of his life. He was a great teacher and leader to all who knew him. He is survived by sons Mark Etheridge of Clearlake, CA, and Richard (Kathy) Etheridge of Riverton, Utah. Grandchildren Melissa Rodriguez of Santa Rosa, Brynelle and Michael Etheridge of Riverton, Utah, and great-granddaughter Alexia Don Diego of Santa Rosa also survive him. Other survivors include his brothers Johnnie (Linda) of Rio Nido, CA and Phil (Kelly) of Sacramento. Services will be held Friday, June 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 1011 S. Cloverdale Blvd., Cloverdale, CA.
