ALBANY, Mo. - Norma M. (Funderburg) Anderson, 81, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at an Albany nursing home.
Norma, the daughter of A.H. (Hud) and Grace (Lewis) Funderburg, was born July 25, 1927, in Gentry County, Mo.
Norma was a 1945 graduate of Albany High School. She enjoyed helping with the all-school reunions through the years.
On Aug. 8, 1946, she was united in marriage to Donald (Andy) Anderson. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leland and Kenneth Funderburg; and two sisters, Hazel Butterbaugh and Thelma McCampbell.
Norma was a member of the Albany First Christian Church, American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, and the Albany Senior Center. She also served as an Election Volunteer. In her free time she enjoyed stock car races.
Survivors: son and wife [named] of Joplin, Mo.; daughter [named] of Queen City, Mo.; four grandchildren [named]; three great-grandchildren [named]; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Cremation will follow the funeral service with inurnment at a later date in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.
