Funeral services for Ray Lee, 51, of Fort Gates were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Gatesville Funeral Home chapel. Minister Edward Schaub conducted the services, and burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Lee died Sunday morning in the local hospital after a long illness.
He was born in the Cold Springs community on Aug. 29, 1926, and lived in Coryell County all his life. He was in the sand and gravel business before retiring because of ill health.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ettie Lee of Flat; one son, James Lee of Gatesville; three brothers, Rex Alvin Lee of Waco, Joe Lee of Guyman, Okla., and James C. Lee of Purmela; and one grandson.
Pallbearers for Mr. Lee's funeral were K. R. Fry, Gene Faucett, R. E. (Bob) Lee, Leon Engles, Melford Evetts and Ray Joiner.
