Colonel Glenn "Larry" Robertson (Ret)
June 18, 1934 - July 21, 2015

Shreveport – Funeral services for Larry will be 12:30 PM, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport. Interment will follow at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA. The family will receive guests one hour prior to service time.

Larry sadly passed away on July 21, 2015. Born in Oklahoma City, OK, he proudly served his country in the US Air Force as a pilot. Before joining the USAF, he met and married the love of his life, Margaret, while attending Oklahoma State University. Larry and Margaret enjoyed 24 years of seeing and experiencing the world throughout his military career. His favorite aircraft was the Douglas A-1 Skyraider. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and visiting with friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, brilliant smile, and the loving care he gave his family, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret; daughter, Linda Robinson, Jonathan Solberg; son, Glenn Robertson, Jr. and wife Amy; four grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Logan, and Katelyn; one great-grandchild, Izabel; sister, Gayle Schafer and husband James; niece, Kelly; nephew, Mark; special cousin, Tom and Phyllis Mamie and Karen Sue Harding.

Honorary pallbearers will be Col. Steve dePyssler, (Ret), Col. Jim Dillingham, (Ret), Col. Jim Kendell, (Ret), Lt Col. Tony Wolf, (Ret) the late Col. Jack Lee, (Ret), the late Col. Frank McArdel, (Ret), known as the “Lunch Bunch”, and his special friend, Al Lyons. Larry will be greatly missed by everyone that had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace my friend.
