Carl Ray Adair was born September 25, 1925 in Girard, LA and went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Bastrop, LA.
Mr. Carl was born in Girard, LA located in Richland Parish.
During the depression he and his family lived in a tent in Forest, LA. He served in the US Marine Corp, 6th Marine Division in the South Pacific for 3 ½ years, where he received a purple heart after being wounded. He was employed by International Paper at the Old Mill for 34 ½ years becoming disabled in 1982.
Mr. Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Adair; parents, Radford Adair and Margaret Giesecke Adair Hoskins; brother, Joe Clayton Adair; and sister, Dorothy Adair.
Survivors include his children, Billy Adair and Karen of Toms River N.J., Michael Adair and wife, Sonya of Bastrop, LA, Julian Bayless, Jr. and wife, Shelly of Bonita, LA, Karen Mauney of South Haven, MS, Debbie Cole and husband, Bob of Breaux Bridge, LA; daughter-in-law, Syble Adair of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Shelly Adair Nugent, Misty Adair Brodnax, Doug Adair, Lori Wroblewski, Kristie Cohea, Brandy Bayless, Shannon Bayless, Ethan Bayless, Kalem Bayless, and James Cole; great grandchildren, Brennan Walker, Ashlyn Walker, Adyson Brodnax, Brant Brodnax, Brayden Bayless, Jaylea Ray Bayless, Kainaan Wroblewski, and Maddie Cole.
Pallbearers are James Cole, Kalem Bayless, Ethan Bayless, Shannon Bayless, Terrell Hawkins, and Todd Wooden.
