The 6th child of William Thomas Cardell and Ella Peacock Cardell. Wife of Carl Claude Wright (divorced) Harvey Pershing Clark (widowed) and William Dungan (widowed). Mother of deceased James Lee Wright, her only child.
Her quirky sense of humor endeared her to many. She loved a good joke.
She loved children and pets, altho she never had any other children of her own other than Jimmy Lee Wright. She loved her step=daughter, Natalie who was Harvey's from a precious marriage.
A sweet, generous, kind and lovely woman. She is dearly missed.
Mary's early life was spent following the crops from Texas and New Mexico with her parents. After she married Carl they lived in California while he was in the service and after their son Jimmie died, she came back to New Mexico where she married to Harvey about 1945-1946 or so. She later moved to Tucson with her husband Harvey, then after his death she married Bill, about 1956 or 1957 in Flagstaff, and later on they moved back to Kentucky where his family lived. After he died, Mary came back to Arizona where she spent her remaining days with her brothers and sisters. She never remarried.
Ashes given to family and interred in the McGovern plot along with her sisters Lola McGovern, Opal Humphrey and a niece, Janet DelGrego. Her brother, John Cardell and wife, Iva rests only a few yards from her.
Beloved sister of deceased siblings: Charles, Dock, Opal, John, Mildred, Muriel, Ursie, Billy, Lola and survived by another brother and two sisters.
