Joyce was born in Slayton, TX to Wilmer & Mira Peacock. She graduated high school with the
Paducah class of ‘44. In 1948 she married Charles H. Goodwin in Paducah. Together they

Caring for her family, friends and spoiling her cat gave meaning to her life.
She had a unique outlook on life and believed that "Don't worry about what you can't change.
Things will work out in the end."
In her quiet time she was an accomplished seamstress, making the clothing for her children when they were young, playing bridge with her friends, reading, working cross word puzzles, driving in the country and holding babies.
