Arthur L. Bobbouine Sr., 52, of Mill Street, Pittston, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at home. He was born in Pittston on April 12, 1953, son of the late Arthur P. and Mary Margaret Armitage Bobbouine.
He graduated from Pittston Area High School in 1971.
For many years, Arthur was a painter and owner of Castle Painting Company, serving the Greater Pittston Area. He was currently employed as a toll collector by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittston, and served on the church council for a number of years.
He was past president of the Pittston Little League, a member of the Antler and Gill Club, Pittston, and a member of the Teamsters Local Union No. 77.
Surviving is his wife, the former Donna Ritz, with whom he celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on April 5, 2005. Also surviving are his sons, Arthur L. Bobbouine Jr., Pittston; George Bobbouine, Pittston; sisters, Mrs. Frank (Donna) Capobianco, Duryea; Mrs. Michael (Jodie) Farrell, Avoca; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 from the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston, with services at 10:30 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittston. The Rev. Russell Kerns will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund, 382 Pierce Street, Kingston, Pa., 18704.
