Auntie Doris,
Daughter of Bill and Lil (Morley) Bryan ..
Sister of Hannah, Hilda, Lily, John Henry (Jack) and Roland
Devoted wife of Stan loving mother of Bruce and Eric.

I have many fond memories of such a sweet Auntie although through life auntie Doris had a really awful stammer she could sing like an Angel.
I remember my mother telling me once of when she went to a club/dance thing with my father and auntie Doris and some other people, this was before she ever heard my auntie sing.
My mother was sat in horror because the people that they were with encouraged my auntie to get up and sing, my mother thought my poor auntie will be made to look like an idiot but she was amazed when my auntie opened her mouth and all the words came out beautifully without so much as a pause.

Back in the old days when we were just little kids Mum,Dad and all us six kids used to visit regularly and she was always pleased to see us..

I have sadly been to quite a few family funerals but I always remember her funeral service.
Right at the back of the chapel a member of possibly the local Church sang out the hymns so loud and so sweet it was a memorable moment as I remember thinking how nice the service was especially the gentleman with the exceptional voice..
