Daughter of the Dutch gymnast Estella "Stella" Agsteribbe, who won the gold medal as member of the Dutch gymnastics team at the 1928 Summer Olympics in her native Amsterdam.

During World War II she was deported and murdered together with her father, mother, and her two-year-old brother Alfred in the Auschwitz concentration camp.
