He grew up in Portland and attended Portland schools. He retired from MB Bourne in 1987 due to illness, and had done a few paper routes since. He was a Heart Transplant recipient in 1987, due to Cardiomyopathy at Brigham and Womens hospital in Boston. Besides his parents of Portland, he is survived by two daughters, Jessica Ramsey and Leasha Ramsey of Portland; his maternal grandmother, Esther Tibbetts of Westbrook; his companion, Cindy Stanley of Rochester, N.H.; three brothers, Raymond Ramsey of Maine, John Ramsey of Brunswick, and Kevin Ramsey of Rochester, N.H.; and by numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held 12-1 p.m. Friday followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at Casco Alliance Church on Route 302. Casual attire is requested.
