Dog killed in fire at mobile home
A dog died Wednesday morning in a fire that heavily damaged a mobile home in Woodburn.
Firefighters were called about 9:30 a.m. to 21727 Woodburn Road.
Woodburn firefighter Zach Berning said no one was in the home at the time. There were two dogs inside, he said, but only one survived the fire.
He said the fire started underneath the home near electrical wires. The flames burned through the floor, and in battling the fire, firefighters removed an end wall of the home.
Allen County's Fire Arson Specialized Team is investigating the cause.
